Emirates Stadium is the home stadium for Arsenal since its opening in October 2006. The opening ceremony was opened by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The opening was supposed to be made by Queen Elizabeth II, but due to her back injury she couldn’t make it to the opening. The Emirates Stadium, more know as the Emirates, hold a capacity of 60,355 seats, which makes it the second largest club stadium in England, only after Old Trafford. The Stadium is named after the airline Emirates after a commercial deal in 2004. The games are usually sold out and it is very hard to get tickets, with the waiting list for tickets exceeds 20,000. Plans to building more seats are currently in progress.
