The Great Guinness Walk will start at the Tourist Information Office, on Suffolk Street and head to St. Stephen’s Park, which was paid for and given to the public by the Guinness family. During the walking tour through the park you will visit the 18th century mansion home belonging to Cecil Guinness, Lord Iveagh, and view the St. Patrick’s Cathedral which the Guinness family spent a fortune on to restore the cathedral to its current condition. The Guinness family also replaced the slums in Dublin with modern homes at their own expense. This gracious family rebuilt Dublin and has redefined its history in the process. The Great Guinness Walk will end at the Guinness Storehouse Visitors Center for a pint of Guinness.
