Junior Rally Level Two in Co. Armagh: Fascinating Facts

The first rally to be given in Germany was the Herkomer trophy in 1905 and was given again in 2006. The rally was 5 days and consisted out of a hill climb and a speed trail. There were 100 participants that tried to tackle 1000km.
One of the participants was Prince Henry of Austria. Prince Henry set out to organise a rally of its own because of the bad organisation of the Herkomer trial. In 1908 the firs prince Henry trail was kept which was a major success.
