The idea of paintball was born in 1976 by 2 friends Bob Gurnsey and Charles Gaines. Charles had been on a hunting trip recently and would like to recreate the adrenaline rush that came with hunting. The two friends thought of a game where you can stalk and hunt each other. This game became reality in 1981 were they used a Nel-spot 007 pistol to fire balls of paint. 12 people played in this first game.
