The extended Hawk Walk, is a 30 minutes longer Hawk Walk than the Private Hawk Walk. This includes more flying time with the hawks and a greater insight with the falconer and his hawks. The Experience

The Extended Private Hawk Walk experience is a perfect experience for anybody who wants to do something extraordinary. Your Extended Private Hawk Walk experience will last for 90 minutes and is not shared with other participants, unless you want to do it with people you know. Located in the beautiful county Mayo, in the exclusive castle that is Ashford Castle, you will have hands-on experience of flying a hawk. As you fly the hawk around the gardens of Ashford Castle, your instructor will explain about the history of falconry, the hawks’ exceptional eyesight, their speed and agility and how the hawks are trained. The extended Private Hawk Walk is a longer version of the Private Hawk Walk with more flying time with the hawks and more insight about the falconer and the Hawks.

Vital Information

Minimum age for the Extended Private Hawk walk experience is 7 years old. The experience is private and not shared with other participants. Reduced rates applies for more participants, please contact customer service for more information.

The Weather

The Extended Private Hawk Walk experience is not fully weather dependent, in case of heavy rain the Hawks will not be able to fly well.

This falconry experience lasts for 90 minutes.

Spectators

A small number of Spectators are welcome to accompany the participant, free of charge. To be part of the falconry experience, spectators are encouraged to purchase additional vouchers to experience the whole Extended Hawk Walk.
