The Experience

Hovercraft Experience: Piloting a solo hovercraft is genuinely like nothing else you’ve ever experienced before! If you can imagine sliding on ice in a craft which is part jet ski, part air plane, (and with no brakes!) you’re close! Our Flying Fish F25 single-seater Hovercraft fly across land and water on a cushion of air created and powered by a large fan mounted behind the pilot.! Our hovercrafting course takes full advantage of our stunningly beautiful lakeside location and comprises a grass section leading you out onto the water before turning back to land again – the unique sensation of transition from open water to grass at full speed is scarily good!

After instruction you will take the controls as pilot, flying solo for 5 practice laps, followed by a second session of a minimum 10 laps racing against the clock. Our experienced instructors will offer ongoing advice as you master the craft and gain speed. A final will round off the event with a bottle of bubbly for the winner. This is an extreme experience, and not for the faint hearted!

Rage Buggy Racing Experience: The only venue in Ireland offering these class buggies on a purpose built hard surface rallying course. If serious fun on wheels is your thing then our awesome machines will really impress you with their attitude! Rage 620cc Buggies are top of the range, tough, fast and tail-happy, and combined with the most demanding and exciting tracks anywhere, this is an incredible rallying experience!

Once in your racing suit and behind the wheel you’ll experience the thrill of adrenaline-generating hairpins, sweepers, chicanes and jumps. Our experienced marshalls will help you improve your cornering and find the best line around the circuit, so get ready for fast and furious sliding and driving! Hear the commands, watch the flag, then GO for it!

This 20 lap racing experience comprises of a briefing or track walk, followed by a 5 lap practice session to get a feel for the handling of the buggy and to find the fastest line around the track. Then the adrenaline really starts to flow as you and other competitors wait for the signal for your foot to hit the metal for a second driving session of 15 laps racing against the clock! The fastest four drivers will get a third driving session competing in the final. The overall winner will come away with a bottle of bubbly and their name on our leaderboard.

Powerturn Dragsters: Powerturn driving is teamwork at its most crazy! Each kart has two engines and two drivers, but no steering wheel! Will you get round the obstacle course and pull some awesome wheelies, or just spin yourself dizzy? Either way you’ll be laughing too hard to care! While the Rage buggy Rally is taking place the Powerturn dragster karts are usually run on an adjacent course, allowing drivers to enjoy an additional fun activity between their Rage buggy driving sessions. Approx 10 circuits around Powerturn obstacle course per person.

Vital Information

There is an age and weight restriction in place. Only persons over 16 years and no more than 17 stone can take part in this Solo Hovercrafting, Rage Buggy Racing and Powerturn Dragsters Experience. For safety reasons the hovercraft course layout may occasionally vary. Once you have booked this Experience, it is impossible to change the date.

The Weather

Hovercrafting can be affected by high winds; in case of weather cancellations participants will be contacted directly to reschedule the Solo Hovercrafting, Rage Buggy Racing and Powerturn Dragsters Experience.

Session Length

Allow approximately 4 hours overall, based on average eight participants.
