This vineyard is located in the village of Westfield, six miles north of the historic town of Hastings, of 1066 fame.The south coast of England has some of the best conditions for wine growing in the UK. The sunnier and drier climate is coupled with an ideal subsoil that stores the heat of the sun and reflects warmth into the vine roots. The sandstone-based soil allows excellent drainage while preserving soil humidity. Indeed, the soil supplies the mineral elements needed to give Carr Taylor wines the award-winning quality and flavour for which they are known.

Dolphin and Whale Watching in Ireland The whole experience was amazing. The weather was also superb, which really added to the experience. The boat was bang on time and the guide, Nic Slocum was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, not just about the whales and dolphins, but also about the history and geography of the West Cork region and the Baltimore area in particular. The only disappointing point was that the whales didn't show up, but this was more than compensated for by the dolphins and they way they interact with the boat. Truly superb experience and highly recommended. anon
