The Experience
Your visit starts when you arrive at Avondale Forest Park's main reception to gain entry before making your way over to the start of the Treetop Walk.
You will step onto the wooden boardwalk as it goes out over the Avonmore River Valley. The walkway slopes gradually taking you from ground level right up into the forest canopy. As you head along the path you will pass close to many different tree species with information boards set up along the way giving you details of the local plant life and the native wildlife.
Near the end of the boardwalk the route will pass through a short underground tunnel that brings you out right at the bottom of the Viewing Tower. You will then start to go up the wide and ramped spiral walkway that wraps around the structure.
At the very top you will reach the circular viewing platform which is 38 metres up in the air. You can then walk around the perimeter to take in the panoramic views over the forest park and the Wicklow Mountains. When you are ready to head down you can choose to take the giant slide inside the tower for a small extra fee or you can walk back down the ramp to explore the park's ground level trails and gardens.

Important Information
All visitors must check in at reception before proceeding to the Treetop Walk gate.
Parking is not included but can be purchased on entry to the park.
The viewing tower 90 metre slide is not included but can be purchased as an extra at the park.
Not suitable for people with vertigo.

The Weather
The treetop walk operates in all weathers, but the 90 meter slide may be closed in wet or humid weather and is subject to weather and safety conditions.
Session Length
Your Avondale Treetop Walk Adult Ticket is valid for a full days entry. If you leave the venue, your ticket will not be valid for re-entry.
