The Belfast Food Tour for Two is a guided walking experience that introduces you to the city’s everyday food culture. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, the tour visits cafés, pubs and food spots that have earned their reputation through consistency rather than hype. Each stop is chosen to reflect how Belfast actually eats.
The experience begins in a cosy café, where you’ll enjoy a warming hot chocolate paired with a liqueur-filled chocolate treat. From there, the focus shifts to traditional Northern Irish flavours, including soda bread served with sausage. Fresh seafood follows, with oysters shucked in front of you to keep the experience rooted in quality and freshness.
One of the highlights is a visit to Belfast’s oldest tavern, which has been welcoming guests since 1630. Here, you’ll sit down to enjoy hearty Irish stew alongside classic pub dishes, all served with a refreshing Irish beer. Between tastings, your guide shares stories from Belfast’s past and explains how the city has changed over time.
The tour concludes at an iconic emporium decorated with bold murals, where you’ll enjoy a final drink at an easy pace. As with every tour, a Secret Dish is included to bring the experience together.

Your meeting spot will be at at the main gate of Belfast City Hall, Donegall Square North, (next to the public bike parking). Your guide will be waiting with an purple umbrella so they are easy to spot.
Your Belfast Food Tour will finish at Commercial Court.
You can always tell your guide of any food allergies or special dietary requirements. We have had many vegetarians doing the tour and they all enjoyed it thoroughly. We will adapt the menu so you can fully enjoy the tour!

Spectators are not allowed but can join in the tour with their own voucher.
To join the Belfast food tour, you should wear comfortable shoes. There will be approximately 25 minutes of walking but it is not too difficult and is broken up between food stops.
Your Belfast Food Tour for Two can be booked from 11am Monday - Saturday, however we advise booking at least two weeks prior for best availability.
