Bring someone along for a clay pigeon shooting session near Carrick-on-Shannon, where you'll each have 30 clay targets to aim at. Whether you've both tried shooting before or it's something completely new, you'll have the chance to put your accuracy to the test.
Before anyone takes a shot, you'll receive an introduction to the shotgun and a demonstration of safe handling. Beginners are welcome, and you'll be shown what you need to know before getting started.
You'll take turns shooting at clay targets launched into the air by an automatic trap. The targets travel at different speeds, so you'll need to pay attention to their movement and choose the right moment to fire. Low-velocity cartridges are used to reduce the impact against your shoulder.
With 30 clays each, you'll both have plenty of chances to find your rhythm. You can see how your shooting improves as you go and enjoy comparing how you got on afterwards.
This experience is for two people and includes 30 clays per person (60 clays in total).
Safety instruction is provided before shooting begins. Firearms are handled under the supervision and control of the activity centre.
