Your cruise starts when you board an all weather river boat on the river Liffey. As the boat sets off your local guide will share with you the history of Dublin, covering everything form early Viking arrivals through to modern developments along the docklands.
As you sail down the River Liffey you will see key landmarks including the Ha'penny bridge and the Custom House. You will be able to take in the architecture as the guide explains how large parts of the present day city were built on reclaimed land.
You will continue out towards the edge of Dublin Port where the river opens up to the sea. Along the way, you will sail past historic ships like the Jeanie Johnston and learn about local events ranging from Oliver Cromwell’s arrival to early surveys of Dublin Bay. Because the boat is fully covered, you get a comfortable trip regardless of what the weather decides to do.
