The Experience
You will meet up with your local guide in the heart of the East End before setting off on a three-hour walking tour. You will have a quick introduction to the area’s long history which will touch on how different international communities have settled here over the centuries.
As you walk through the streets your guide will take you into seven locally run businesses. You’ll pop into traditional family shops and well-known food stops. You will also skip the queues along the way. You will try authentic dishes like classic fish and chips and genuine South Asian street food while hearing the stories and history behind the dishes.
Your guide will point out historic landmarks and street art as you go. The walk ends inside a traditional local pub so that you can sit down and chat about the day. Finish off with a quiet glass of beer or wine!
