The Experience
Discover the joy of flight with this 30 Minute Microlight Flight in Lancashire.
This hands-on flying experience gives you the chance to pilot a microlight while taking in incredible views of the countryside and coast.
Your day begins at a quiet airfield near Cockerham, surrounded by fields and wide skies. After meeting your instructor, you’ll receive a friendly introduction to the aircraft and a safety briefing. Once you’re ready, the engine powers up and the ground begins to fall away beneath you.
Choose between two aircraft styles: a flex-wing microlight for a breezy, open-air ride or a fixed-wing version with an enclosed cockpit. Each offers a different way to experience Lancashire’s scenery, from rolling farmland to Morecambe Bay and the distant peaks of the Lake District.
Once in the air, your instructor will show you how the controls work and invite you to fly the aircraft yourself. The lesson balances calm guidance with the thrill of real flight. As confidence grows, you’ll feel a true sense of freedom above the landscape below.
After landing, you can chat with your instructor about what you’ve learned and capture a few photos to remember the moment.

Minimum age is 14. Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult.
Maximum weight for this experience is 95kg (flex wing) / 110kg (fixed wing)
