Which Rally Driving Experience Should You Choose?

The Rally Car Driving Northern Ireland package includes two driving stages in a front-wheel-drive rally car. You'll receive feedback on your driving and a certificate afterwards.

The Rally Driving Experience in Northern Ireland lets you try both front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive rally cars. It also includes a high-speed demonstration run with an instructor at the wheel.

With the Intermediate Rally Driving Experience, you'll complete three stages in rear-wheel-drive rally cars, such as the Ford Focus or Mk2 Escort RS2000. A high-speed passenger demonstration is also included.

The Intermediate Plus Rally Experience adds the chance to drive a turbocharged four-wheel-drive rally car alongside the front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive stages.

What Happens During a Rally Driving Day?

Your experience begins with a briefing on rally car handling and safety. You'll then head onto the circuit with an instructor who will help you get used to the car and explain the techniques you'll be practising.

Depending on your package, you could be driving a front-wheel-drive rally car or learning how a rear-wheel-drive Mk2 Escort responds through corners. Some experiences also include a turbocharged four-wheel-drive car, giving you a chance to try a different style of rally driving.

Several packages include a high-speed demonstration run with an experienced rally driver. You'll also receive feedback on your driving, with the exact inclusions depending on the experience you've chosen.

Where do your rally driving days take place?Our current rally driving experiences take place at Bishops Court near Downpatrick in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Do I need previous rally driving experience?No previous rally driving experience is required for several of the packages. An instructor will explain the controls and guide you during your driving session.

Can children take part?Yes. The Junior Rally Driving Experience is suitable for ages 12–17, with a minimum height requirement of 5 ft (approximately 152 cm).

Do I need a driving licence?Licence requirements vary between packages. Some adult experiences require a full licence, while the junior experience is designed for younger drivers. Check the requirements on the individual product page before purchasing.

How long does a rally driving day last?The standard Rally Car Driving experience lasts approximately 2–2.5 hours. The Intermediate and Intermediate Plus packages last around 3 hours. Other experiences have their own schedules, so check the product details before booking.

Can family and friends come along?Spectators are permitted at the venue, although charges may apply to certain experiences. Check the individual package for details.
