Your visit starts as you head into the Viking Triangle in central Waterford and enter the Medieval Museum.

You will begin the tour by heading down into the underground vaults preserved right beneath the modern structure. You will get to explore Choristers Hall before moving through to the 15th-century wine vault. Standing inside these stone undercrofts gives you a clear sense of how the city looked hundreds of years ago.

You will then visit the main museum galleries to view some of the country's rarest medieval survival pieces. The collection includes the Great Charter Roll from 1390 and the heavily embroidered 15th-century cloth-of-gold church vestments.

Guided tours are also included with your entry ticket subject to staff availability, giving you the chance to hear details about the collection directly from the local team as you walk through.

The museum is fully accessible with the exception of the 15th-century Mayor's Wine Vault.

Children 16 and younger can join the tour for free, but must still be added to your booking.
